Welcome back to school and to your new
Learning Commons space!

Welcome back Dragons! I trust you all had a fantastic summer break and are keen to start a new school year filled with lots of exciting opportunities ahead! You may have already noticed that your library looks a little different than it has in the past. Your library has made the transformation to a Library Learning Commons! I encourage you to use the tabs located at the top of this website to further explore what the Learning Commons has to offer -- it's so much more than just a library!
What is a Learning Commons?
Think of a Learning Commons as a park! A park is a place where you go to have fun, exercise, and play. A learning commons is much the same: You'll have fun reading a variety of great books, collaborating with peers and challenging yourself to invent and explore. You'll exercise your brain when being exposed to new information, participating in coding clubs, and using new virtual resources and apps. Lastly, you'll enjoy playing with our new robotics and 3D printer, tinkering in the deconstruction station, and creating arts & crafts that are all available in the Makerspace! The Learning Commons is definitely an exciting space that works to enrich classroom learning and increase student engagement through technology!
Looking For MAKERSPACE donations!
I am looking for donations from the school community to help KICK START our Makerspace! Below are items I would be so grateful to take off your hands! As an added incentive, for every item from the list that your child brings in their name will be added to a draw to win a fabulous prize: A $25 Chapter gift card, a selection of books and posters of their choosing, and a batch of Mrs. Periard's famous double chocolate chip cookies!
All items can be brought directly to Mrs. Periard in the Learning Commons. Thank you in advance for your donations!
